We will never discredit other courses when it comes to music production. Each educational institution provides a different experience that may be a better fit for your style. In fact, Hyperbits took a mixing and mastering class with Dubspot and man, he learned a lot. That said, we have a unique perspective on the industry because we are artists first, and teachers second.

This has allowed is to acquire some fairly unique insights and techniques in the production realm that similar learning institutions simply will not be able to provide. We are able to price the Masterclass at such an affordable rate (a lot of prominent schools charge 5, 10 or even 15 times as much) because we don't spread out our lessons at a snails pace — we move fast. The Hyperbits Masterclass is a demanding educational solution to fill a void in the music production landscape that simply did not exist before it's creation.

If you are an absolute beginner and have never opened a DAW before (or even know what a DAW is), this course is most likely not for you.

However, anyone who has spent some considerable time making music in Ableton, Logic, FL Studio, Bitwig, Reason, Pro Tools or Cubase, you are most likely ready to partake in the Masterclass. Everyone progresses at different speeds and rates, but it is highly recommended that you have at least 6-12 months of music production experience before taking this class.

Just to be clear – you do NOT need all of the following synths and plugins, but we'll be using synths like:

Serum, Kontakt, Arcade, Nexus, Spire, Omnisphere, Trilian, and some of the Output Sounds stuff. The most important synth from this list will be Serum, hands down.

We'll also be using mixing and effects plugins like the Sound Toys Bundle, Fabfilter Bundle, Waves Bundle, Izotope Ozone, Valhalla Reverbs, as well as several free or ridiculously cheap plugins.

Once classes start, you’ll be given a complete guide to all of our favorite and recommended plugins, as well as super cheap plugins or host-DAW alternatives.

The main goal of this class is to make commercially viable, professional sounding music. You can expect to push creative boundaries, increase your output, create cleaner, edgier, and more analogue sounding mixes, louder masters with more dynamics, and overall, progress on your artistic journey while connecting with hundreds of other passionate, like-minded students.

The content of this course is not DAW specific. Serik (Hyperbits) will primarily be using Logic, while Masterclass lead instructor, Zach (Syence) uses Ableton, but most of the ideas discussed in the class will be applicable to any DAW on the market.

Yes! But the entire point of the Hyperbits Masterclass is so that you do NOT have to hire engineers to make your music sound amazing and that you'll be able to do it yourself (...and save loads of money in the process).

Every single live group session and office hour will be recorded and available to watch within 24-hours on the member site. You can also catch up by asking additional questions during office hours or posting on the Discord server.

Alternatively, if you know in advance that you are missing a live session, simply submit your questions to the instructors via Discord and they will cover them in class so you can see your answers covered live in the recordings.

Live Group Sessions will meet every single week on Wednesday, rotating between 12 PM & 6 PM Pacific time.

Office Hours will meet twice per month, on the first Thursday of every month at 12 PM Pacific time, and the third Thursday of every month at 6 PM Pacific time.

We're proud to offer our students lifetime access AND lifetime updates to the Hyperbits Masterclass. Let's clarify exactly what that means:

Lifetime Access — this means you will have access to all recorded lessons, lifetime attendance to live sessions and office hours, as well as recordings of these sessions, forever.

Lifetime Updates — this means you will get lifetime updates to all of the recorded materials + lessons (but not the live group sessions or office hours themselves). That means if we update our core curriculum with new content, you'll get access to it and be able to continue your educational journey with us forever.

Here is a breakdown of the suggested minimum time commitment necessary to get the most out of the Masterclass (keep in mind, you will have lifetime access to the recorded lessons and lifetime access to the live classes, so this can truly be done at your own pace if needed)

- Recorded lessons: 3 hrs per week for 8 weeks
- Live sessions: 1 hour per week
- Office hours: 2 hours per month
- Homework + Action Items: 1-2 hours per week (this can vary greatly depending on your commitment and dedication level)

Overall, I would recommend being able to commit at least 4 hours per week to recorded lessons and homework, as well as an additional 2 hours per week to live classes and office hours.

Just a note, this class isn't meant to overwhelm anyone. Yes, it's extensive, but it's a very cool and supportive class that is quite malleable to your needs. We’ll keep you accountable (and hopefully motivated and inspired), but there are no penalties for not keeping up or falling behind. Again, that is why we give lifetime access to the material!

The entire 8-module Masterclass is meant for intermediate to advanced producers, but the coaching tier is meant for EXTREMELY focused, career-driven producers looking for some additional 1 on 1 attention and accountability.

This Coaching Tier is NOT specifically meant for the most technically proficient producers, but rather, passionate artists looking for next-level guidance, accountability, networking, and peer/instructor feedback.

The Coaching Tier will only be available to 5 students per month.

One-on-one sessions throughout the Masterclass for the Coaching Tier students will be scheduled based on student and instructor availability. We will accommodate time slots based on your schedule and offer an array of morning and afternoon time slots.

Coaching Tier group sessions will run the last Thursday of every month, rotating between 12 PM & 6 PM Pacific time.

As we mentioned, the Coaching Tier is focused on additional guidance, accountability, networking and peer/instructor feedback where we will be diving DEEP into your personal application of sound design, arrangement, processing chains, mixing and mastering.

Make no mistake, the goal is to achieve a professional quality mix that sounds as good, or better than your favorite artists.

We will achieve this goal through a combination of private, one on one instruction (6 total sessions) as well as extremely small, private group classes for life.
