Your path through the Masterclass

Great music doesn't come from more plugins, more presets, or more hours alone in your DAW. It comes from a clear process, reliable technique, and feedback from people who've already done it.

  1. 01 · Start

    Learn the System

Pre-recorded lessons across 8 modules and 200+ videos, teaching our complete production framework step by step. Watch at your own pace.

  2. 02 · Every Module

    Do the Work, Get Feedback

Each module ends with a real assignment. Submit it and get specific, actionable notes back from our team of working producers.

  3. 03 · Wednesdays

    Show Up Live, Every Week

Group sessions every Wednesday, plus office hours on the first and third Thursday. Bring your questions and works in progress.

  4. 04 · Always On

    Produce Alongside a Community

A private Discord of serious producers on the same path. Share works in progress, trade feedback between sessions, stay accountable.

  5. 05 · Finish

    Finish Your Track, One-on-One

Once you have worked through all 8 modules, sit down privately with an instructor to mix, master, and polish your track for release.

A live Masterclass session in progress: a track open in the DAW being reviewed by an instructor on video.

A simple, repeatable process for producing the release-ready records you hear in your head.

8 modules, the entire system

Over 200 lessons covering the full framework, from your setup and first idea through mixing, mastering, and release. Watch at your own pace, forever.

Weekly live group sessions

Every Wednesday with a Hyperbits instructor. Bring a track, a question, or a problem you have been stuck on all week.

Office hours, twice a month

First and third Thursday of the month. Smaller, looser, and built for the questions that do not fit anywhere else.

Weekly homework feedback

Every module ends with a real assignment. Submit it and get specific notes back from a Hyperbits instructor, not a thumbs up.

Private 1-on-1 sessions

Sit down with an instructor in your own session and finish a track together. Complete Tier includes one coproduction session, Coaching Tier includes five. Complete your private sessions within your first year.

The Hyperbits Creative Suite

We spent $42,000 building it. 8,674+ royalty-free sounds, presets, MIDI files, and construction kits, yours when you enroll.

Up to 50% off your plugins

40+ partners including FabFilter, Soundtoys, Xfer, and Splice. For most students this pays back a chunk of the tuition.

The alumni network

1,000+ producers in a private Discord. Trade feedback between sessions, find collaborators, stay accountable, and make friends.

3 track creation courses

Sit in on Hyperbits, Syence, and Anden building a record from an empty session to a finished master. Unedited, in full.

Industry guest sessions

A back catalogue of sessions with A&Rs, managers, Grammy-nominated engineers, and touring artists on the business side of the job.

The member resource library

Our plugin roadmap so you buy what you need in the right order, a collaboration roster of students, exclusive practice stems & more.

Lifetime access & updates

No expiry, no re-enrolling. Every session is recorded, and every improvement we make to the curriculum is yours automatically.

And at the end of it, your own professional, finished track. Mixed, mastered, and ready for Spotify, Apple Music, and everywhere else.

Here's how we actually teach.

A full workshop, free. No opt-in, no pitch.

Private coaching

What a 1-on-1 coaching session looks like

Private time with one of our instructors, on your own music. The Complete Tier includes one session plus a kickoff call, and the Coaching Tier includes five plus an extended kickoff call.

  1. 01

    Pick your instructor and book

Inside the member site, choose the instructor who fits your genre and grab a time. Availability is open four to five days a week.

  2. 02

Choose how to use the hour

A coproduction session, where your instructor works directly on your track, or a Q&A session built around whatever you're stuck on. Most students pick coproduction.

  3. 03

Send your stems a day ahead

For coproduction, you export your track and send it 24 hours before the call, so it's loaded and playing when you join.

  4. 04

    Sixty minutes on Zoom

Track feedback, mixing walkthroughs, sound design, workflow, career and A&R questions, or some of everything. You decide how the hour goes.

Mentorship outside the Masterclass

A studio for Urban Street Angels

Urban Street Angels is a San Diego nonprofit that has helped young adults experiencing homelessness since 2012, with housing, job training and mentorship.

In 2024, the Hyperbits team got a few friends together and spent 3 days turning an empty storage closet at their downtown center into a full, working music studio. Hyperbits donated the gear, including a Universal Audio Apollo x4, studio monitors, a microphone, a power conditioner, lighting, an area rug and an absurd amount of cables.

The Hyperbits team taught a few in-person sessions in the new room, and enrolled five of the youth in the Hyperbits Masterclass, with full lifetime access to the lessons, coaching, mentorship and weekly live sessions.

Case studies

Five producers, before and after the Masterclass

What was holding each of them back, what changed in their production once they had mentorship, and where it took them. In their own words, on video.

Case study 1

Adam Turley

Producer & vocalist 44M+ streams

Adam Turley on the Hyperbits Masterclass thumbnail

Hear his before and after in the video

The problem

Adam's music wasn't bad, but it lacked the shine and polish he heard in his favorite artists. His first release before the Masterclass didn't get much attention.

What changed

He learned from instructors whose released music he could go and check, which ended years of second-guessing YouTube advice. The jump came when his drums started hitting and his vocals sat clean, because he learned to mix slower and listen between every move.

The result

Featured on some of Spotify's biggest playlists, including Fresh Finds and New Music Friday. Tens of millions of streams, and a move from Utah to Los Angeles to do music full-time.

"Before the Hyperbits Masterclass when I put music into a playlist next to my favorite artists, I could hear the sonic difference in quality. Now, there is no difference between their stuff and mine. I can't stress how amazing that feels."

Adam Turley

Case study 2

Shishi

Producer 30M+ streams

Shishi on the Hyperbits Masterclass thumbnail

The problem

Shishi had no shortage of inspiration, but his ideas never sounded as good next to the artists he loved. His music would go up on Spotify and end there, with nobody streaming it and nobody talking about it.

What changed

Watching full tracks go from the first loop to the final master, in order, turned finishing into a process he could follow. He stopped endlessly polishing and started putting music out.

The result

Rolling Stone picked him up and Diplo and Major Lazer played his music. He also won the Beatport and Microsoft remix competition, which flew him to Ibiza for an all-expenses-paid trip and performance, and he has passed 30M+ streams.

"The Masterclass gave me the blueprint to be able to produce music at a professional level. Before Hyperbits, I only had ideas. But after, I had the ability to bring them to fruition the way they sounded in my head."

Shishi

Case study 3

Sam Welch

Producer & vocalist 130M+ streams

Sam Welch on the Hyperbits Masterclass thumbnail

The problem

Sam had an incredible voice and didn't know how to make his vocals sound polished enough to compete commercially.

What changed

He built the vocal and mastering chains he still uses, plus a workflow he could repeat after a long day at his job. That's what let him turn a topline around in a single afternoon.

The result

His vocal production is now his calling card. He passed one million monthly listeners on Spotify and signed with a management team, then quit his job to do music full-time.

"I've released with great labels now like Sony, Universal, Selected, and Interior Minds. If I hadn't done the Hyperbits Masterclass, I wouldn't have been able to make this dream happen. It's a no-brainer!"

Sam Welch

Case study 4

Joel Freck

Producer Anjunabeats talent search winner

Joel Freck on the Hyperbits Masterclass thumbnail

Hear his before and after in the video

The problem

Joel's music would empty out clubs when he DJed across Canada. He got stuck in a negative cycle, doubting his craft and losing faith that he had what it takes to move a dance floor.

What changed

A few weeks in, he reopened "Violet Rose", a track whose mix had beaten him for months. He fixed it, sent it out, and got it signed to RIDE before the program was over.

The result

Anjunabeats picked him as the first-place winner of their global talent search, and Above & Beyond, Armin van Buuren, Tritonal and more have played his music.

"Before the Hyperbits Masterclass, I would play my music and no one would care or pay attention. Now when I drop my stuff live, people go crazy. It hits that hard!"

Joel Freck

Case study 5

Anson Seabra

Producer & vocalist 1.6B+ streams

Anson Seabra on the Hyperbits Masterclass thumbnail

The problem

Anson had undeniable vocal and songwriting talent and no idea how to showcase it through his production. With no fans and barely any streams, a touring career seemed a long way off.

What changed

Vocal production went from the thing holding his songs back to one of his strongest skills, and he built an original sound around it.

The result

Over 1.6 billion streams, stages and tours around the world, a performance on Ellen, and songwriting for A-list artists.

"Because of the class, my music is now listenable. I can put it on at a party or show a friend, and won't sound like another kid on Soundcloud. It sounds professional, that's all I've ever wanted and this class delivered."

Anson Seabra

Don’t just take our word for it…

Because of this class, I was able to make my music sound literally 3x bigger and fuller. This class is perfect for anyone trying to get to the highest, professional tier of music production quality.
Nurko Nurko
Wow, did I ever learn a lot. You could not ask for a better resource. Highly recommended.
BT BT
Three months into the program, my music was sounding pretty good. Three months after that, I won my first remix competition out of over 500 people. Producers who had been at it for years were asking how I got so good so fast.
Niko Kotoulas Niko Kotoulas
I have a BFA in audio engineering and learned more here than I did in 4 years at university.
Michael York Michael York
Serik has a ton of knowledge worth incorporating into your productions. I went from making unofficial bootlegs to signing my first release. These days, my releases are getting support from Armin van Buuren, Blasterjaxx, etc. Take this course!
Tom Rogers Tom Rogers
All of my mixes sound fuller, professional and polished. I broke through to the next level of mixing/production after banging my head up against the wall for years.
Paul Riggio Paul Riggio
Songs used to take me several weeks to complete. Now I'm finishing arrangements in 1-2 days, and the tracks sound much more full and warm.
Michael Regina Michael Regina
I've attended some pretty well-known big electronic music schools, but what I got out of those was a fraction of what I got out of the Masterclass.
Raphael Bussy Raphael Bussy
I now understand what distinguishes an amateur sound from a pro sound. Priceless, and something you don't learn in school.
Dan Illisen Dan Illisen
It only took a few weeks but wow, my mixes sound way cleaner, brighter, louder, and more professional.
Dawson Choong Dawson Choong
After learning reductive EQ and saturation techniques, the improvement in my mixes was almost instant.
Alex Blatt Alex Blatt
I look back at my older music and it's insane how much better my stuff is sounding. The Masterclass is perfect for any producer trying to get their music to the next level.
Bryce Nickerson Bryce Nickerson
I now confidently understand the entire mixdown process. The results were nearly immediate.
Mark Farry Mark Farry
I made over $500 last month mastering other people's music. Prior to the class, I made $0.
Jose Herrera Jose Herrera
This class changed my life. Not only did I get to sign with my dream label Armada, but I also got supported by the biggest legends in electronic music.
Jozsef Puchler Jozsef Puchler
The Masterclass truly helped lay the foundation for where I am today. Now I'm hitting over 1.5 million streams a year with support from Armin, Above & Beyond, and Ferry Corsten.

Still on the fence?

4 weeks into the class, a studio owner told me my music sounded like I time traveled and skipped years of development.
Mo Ackerman Mo Ackerman
The Masterclass was genuinely life-changing. I've lost count of how many friends have been like 'dude what did you do' because they could hear all the growth.
Kevin Winebarger Kevin Winebarger
I went from playing with sounds to signing my first release thanks to this course.
Gregorio Ceniceros Gregorio Ceniceros
Splitting the processes into composition, production, mixing and mastering helped speed up my workflow and make me get tracks finished more often.
Robb Whiteman Robb Whiteman
The main takeaway was how fast one could complete a song. I have it down to a week now.
Joshua Vigil Joshua Vigil
I got more out of the 8 weeks of this class than I did of the four years of production before it.
Hemanth Kini Hemanth Kini
This is really the best class I've ever taken in music. I'm achieving way cleaner mixes, constructing more interesting grooves, and learning to master on my own.
Chris Fezza Chris Fezza
Everything is organized, structured, and comes from one source, unlike jumping on YouTube and shuffling through thousands of videos. I was struggling with structuring my music so it made sense to the listener, and now I've got it down.
Max Kunstadter Max Kunstadter
If you are in any way trying to improve your music, there is simply nothing better than the Hyperbits Masterclass. Nothing else comes close.
Vipul Gargya Vipul Gargya
Before, like most people, I would just open Ableton and not know where I was going. Having a refined mindset and a plan moving forward really helps get the wheels turning when it comes to actually finishing music.
Megan Frey Megan Frey
I was really struggling with taking ideas and making them into fully mixed, mastered tracks. That structure and discipline was something I was missing, and that's what Hyperbits fixed for me.
Record Club Record Club
A year after completing the course, I'm having conversations with Island Records and I'm close to securing a management deal. My music has improved so much that heads are really starting to turn.
TOOGOOD TOOGOOD
The parts about saturation and reductive EQ alone changed my entire workflow. Seeing the Hyperbits approach to mixing and mastering was absolutely invaluable.
Bobby Hilzen Bobby Hilzen
My music went from sounding relatively beginner and cheap to very commercially and professionally composed and sonically polished.
Dylan Dubois Dylan Dubois
All the knowledge, habits, support, and encouragement gained from the class pushed me to make music that can now be played alongside my favorite artists.
Huy Bui Huy Bui
By the end of the 8th week, I had already finished a track and applied everything I learned and got a LOUD and CLEAN mix and master.
Niels Van Veen Niels Van Veen
My music sounds a lot fuller. I now understand just how much sheen can be added in the mixing process.
Ryan Duffin Ryan Duffin
I saw an immediate improvement halfway through the class. A month after, I got a track signed to a reputable record label.
Curran Kay Curran Kay
The guidelines from the Masterclass really helped progress my sound. The class played a role in getting multiple Hype Machine #1 records.
Ian Snow Ian Snow
This Masterclass is probably the best one on the internet. They will take you through every step of what it takes to stand a chance. I just landed a dream job after taking this class.
Robin Eriksson Robin Eriksson
For years I have struggled with creating music, always attributing a lack of talent or the need for one more piece of gear as the reasons why my tracks never stacked up to my influences. Through the Masterclass, you have shattered those myths and revealed that knowledge and practice were the only missing pieces.

Fair questions

Swipe

Would a degree be a better fit?

$50,000+

Two to four years, accredited

A degree makes sense if you want the qualification and the campus experience. The Masterclass is for making release-ready music from your own studio, with a curriculum revised as the tools change.

  • Fixed curriculum
  • Campus schedule
  • Theory and hardware focus

Should I hire a private coach?

$15,000

Twice a week for a year, at $150 an hour

A good coach is worth a lot. Here the sessions run alongside a curriculum, so the work carries on between them instead of stopping until your next paid hour.

  • No curriculum
  • No community
  • Rarely a guarantee

Could I learn this on my own?

Free

Paid for in years instead

YouTube is great. The hard part is knowing what applies to your track and whether you are hearing the problem correctly. A structured course and a second set of ears fix both.

  • No set order
  • No feedback
  • Unvetted quality

Why feedback matters more now

Taste is the part a mentor builds fastest

AI keeps getting better at the technical layer, which makes judgment about your own track worth more every year. That judgment is most of what separates a finished record from a good idea.

Say your chorus feels small. A tutorial gives you ten ways to widen it. An instructor listening to your track might tell you the verse is already too wide, so the chorus has nowhere to go.

01

Identity

The part of your music nobody else would have made. A mentor hears what's already distinctive in your tracks before you do, and tells you to do more of it.

02

Taste

Knowing which of a hundred possible fixes is right for this track. It transfers fastest by having someone with more of it react to your actual work, week after week.

03

Production

Low end, loudness, arrangement, the mix. Still worth learning properly, and far quicker when someone catches the mistake in week two instead of year three.

The longer version of this idea is in Almost Naked at the Grammys.

Is the Masterclass right for you?

This is for you if

  • Your ideas have potential, but the finished tracks still fall short of what you hear in your head.
  • You hear something off in your mix and keep changing things without knowing whether you’re helping.
  • You’ve learned plenty from tutorials. You’re still missing a reliable process for finishing music.
  • You want working producers to listen closely and explain what to improve in your tracks.
  • You’re ready to set aside 3–5 hours a week to work through the lessons and apply the feedback to your own music.

This probably isn’t the right fit if

  • You’re still learning your DAW’s basic controls. Start with our free Groundwork course for Ableton or Logic.
  • You only want a quick lesson on one technique. The Masterclass covers the full production process.
  • You don’t have time to work on music right now. Come back when there’s room in your week.
  • You’re literally deadmau5. In which case, Joel, we have a few questions for you.

Still unsure? Book a call. Tell us what you’re working on and where you’re getting stuck.

Questions about music production mentorship and coaching

What is music production mentorship?

Music production mentorship is an ongoing relationship with more experienced producers who listen to your music and tell you what to fix next. A course hands you a system. A mentor makes sure that system lands in your own tracks.

At Hyperbits, mentorship runs through the Masterclass: a full production curriculum, weekly live sessions, feedback on your homework, and private 1-on-1s with working producers.

How does mentorship work at Hyperbits?

You work through 8 modules and 200+ lessons at your own pace, and each module ends with an assignment our team reviews and sends notes back on. Live group sessions run every Wednesday, rotating between 12 PM and 6 PM Pacific, with office hours on the first and third Thursday of each month.

The Complete Tier includes a kickoff call and one private 1-on-1 with an instructor. The Coaching Tier includes an extended kickoff call, five 1-on-1s and a monthly Coaching-only group call.

How much does music production coaching cost?

At Hyperbits, the Complete Tier is $2,997, or 6 monthly payments of $549. The Coaching Tier is $4,997, or 6 monthly payments of $883. Both include the full curriculum, weekly live sessions and homework feedback. Coaching adds five private sessions instead of one, the kickoff call, the monthly Coaching group, and every current Hyperbits course and tool.

The most common pushback we hear is that the same money could buy a lot of plugins. It could, and most people who ask already own more plugins than they use while their mixes still sound flat. If you do want more, Masterclass students get up to 50% off plugins from 40+ partners, including FabFilter, iZotope, Soundtoys and Waves.

For comparison, private coaches typically charge $50 to $300 an hour, and group mentorship programs run roughly $1,000 to $10,000, often with the price hidden until you're on a call.

Which DAWs does it work with?

Any of them. The Masterclass teaches sound design, mixing, mastering, arrangement and workflow, and the concepts carry across Ableton, Logic, FL Studio and everything else. If you can find your way around your DAW, you're good.

Does it matter what genre I make?

No. About a third of our students make four-to-the-floor music, around a quarter make bass music, and another quarter make pop or vocal records, with singer-songwriters, cinematic and hip hop producers making up the rest. The alumni above range from trance to pop.

Are the sessions recorded?

Yes. Every live session and office hour is recorded and available within 24 hours, and you can send questions in beforehand and catch the answers in the replay. You keep access to every recording for life.

How are the private 1-on-1 sessions scheduled?

Once you're inside, you book them around your own calendar, with instructors open four to five days a week. On the Complete Tier, your 1-on-1 comes after you've worked through all 8 modules, so you sit down with an instructor holding a finished track and get it ready for release.

What happens between sessions?

You work through the lessons, hand in assignments and get notes back, and trade feedback with other producers in the private Discord. Most students spend three to five hours a week on it.

What if I have a full-time job?

Plenty of our students do. The lessons are self-paced and every session is recorded, so a Wednesday you miss is there the next morning. What actually predicts falling behind is going quiet: the students who stop sending in music.

Do I need 1-on-1 sessions, or is group feedback enough?

Group feedback covers more ground than people expect, because producers at a similar stage share the same handful of problems, and watching someone else get corrected teaches you nearly as much as being corrected yourself. Private sessions earn their premium once your questions get specific to your own music and career, which usually happens around the time you're finishing tracks and thinking about releasing them.

Can I upgrade to the Coaching Tier later?

Yes. What you paid for Complete gets credited against Coaching's listed price. Sale pricing doesn't carry into an upgrade, so upgrading later costs more than choosing Coaching at the start.

Can AI replace a music production mentor?

AI is already good at the technical layer and getting better fast. Expect it to take care of loudness and a lot of mix cleanup before long. Deciding what your music should sound like is still on you, and that judgment gets sharper when someone with more of it reacts to your actual tracks. That part is what mentorship is for.

How do I choose a music production mentor?

Two checks filter out most of the field. First, are they releasing music right now? Look at their last twelve months on Spotify rather than their bio. Second, can they show named students you can go and listen to yourself?

Then ask two things: how often your music actually gets heard (and by whom), and what the program costs before anyone gets you on a call.

Still deciding? Book a free call and ask us anything.

You've been through five case studies, the pricing and thirteen questions. That's past casual browsing. If something's still holding you back, ask us in the corner of your screen or book a call.
